JACK MITCHELL

Jack is an emerging Screenwriter, Director and Experimental Filmmaker from County Offaly. His creative journey began during a formative year spent in Vancouver, Canada, before he returned to Ireland in 2013. Jack honed his craft at Trinity College Dublin, where he studied Film Studies and English Literature, igniting his passion for storytelling and filmmaking.

At Trinity, he directed his debut short film, The Power Hour with Birch Stratton, which won the Best Comedy Short Film award at the Dublin University Film Festival. Building on this success, Jack gained hands-on experience in the camera department on various documentary and commercial projects. In 2024, he completed his second short film, Wet Sheets, with his filmmaking collective, Tara Hill Productions. The film is currently making its way through the festival circuit, with screenings planned for 2025.

Jack is currently working on his second feature-length screenplay, Get Him in the Room, a dark comedy exploring the contemporary perceptions surrounding success. Along with this he is currently researching for a short non-narrative miniseries on the housing crisis in Ireland.

With a vision to become an internationally recognized film director, Jack aspires to create impactful narratives that resonate with audiences worldwide.
